I've been asked for a CS:Source tournament and it seems like a good idea now that we have new computers that can run it well. We can potentially support up to 6 teams of 5, or 8 teams of 4. We can run a tournament on November 20th, but I need some volunteers to help with the event.
Here's the prize structure I'd propose: $75 entry fee per team.
$50 store credit for each player on the 1st place team, or $25 cash. $40 store credit for 2nd or $20 cash. $30 store credit for 3rd or $15 cash.
Everybody else gets a doughnut.
How does that sound? Ideas are appreciated. Also somebody get in touch with Dylan Reid and ask him for help.

well im will to help if you need it by maybe you the prizes could be large amounts of computer time instead of store credit? And $75 per team of four could be alittle steep since some of the people who are really interested are just kids who spend all their time on cards and computer time. Perhaps $15 for each member in a team of 4 and $11 for each member in a team of 6. Note these are just suggestions, i'm not trying to do your job for you.
Still this is a great idea and i would gladly enter.

k, i've got a feeling people just wanna be able to say "i beat you! you suck!" so i guess we could tone down the cost/prizes a bit.
how about $50 per team
$30 store credit/$15 cash for 1st. $20 store credit/$10 cash for 2nd. $10 store credit/$5 cash for 3rd.
all of these prizes are for each person on the team. so for a five man team, winning first place would get you a total of $150 store credit, or $75 cash.

Hey Guys, LIttle Dylan here. Just wanted to post, what if we have a smaller (smaller prizes) tourney on Nov. 6th to premote Source and get people interested and then on Nov. 20th we have a Bigger tourney with more people, bigger prizes if enough attension is brought to Source. Maybe $40/50 a team of 3/4, for "enough" time to play Matches, on a formate of single/double elimination tourney style with (longer bomb time) 6/7 rounds a half and if a tie ocures who ever would win the NEXT round (no matter money) would gain win. Also I have talked to about 10 people that are for SURE going to attend and purtisipate in the tourney if a signing sheet is made at the front desk we could be more/better organized for the tourney with number of players and prizes. Also!! what ever happened to the 1.6 tourney that was going to happen, LOTS of people play it and it could be a really cool thing since the new comps are in and being set up (Just some thoughts) C YA GUYZ! HAPPY OWNING
