So last saturday night we started playing random older maps, and a lot of people like it. I 've heard several people saying that our rotation is getting boring, and even with talks of mill and/or fire being put into the rotation, I thought, hey, how bout we make an Old skool map night? Maps like backalley, chat, torn, docks, yaddi yadda. I wonder if theres some way for the map rotations to switch automatically, or if one of us needs to be there to change it, but thats something I'd be willing to do.

So post your thoughts about it here!

Rotations can be set up to switch automatically; it's not too hard, I just need to write a short rotation script.

awsome... hmmm I think some suggestions for what good older maps there are would be nice too. I think the ones I mentioned are fine, but I don't really know all of them. so if you have any ideas, post those as well.

you know what you might want to do is download a few map packs.. they have random maps that you've never seen before but can be really fun.. just put together some of the better ones and try them out

I totally, and completely back an influx of CS_maps to the server. We voted office in one day and a noob tried to push a hostage back to spawn.. I think we need to edumacate them noobs' on how to play more than 3 maps [Razz] Ones that used to be in rotation on our old server was cs_italy and cs_office.. of course I'm open to more than just these. Map packs.. not always a great idea.. not a lot of people have them. If you do decide to do it.. I have a decent one available, and you'd have to put it up for download on the website for those of us, ahem, non-local [Razz] Mill is ok.. never played fire before. I'm open to it. Torn was always a fun one. Man, what sucks is I know I can 0wn all you guys at maps other than the triad of power.. aztec, dust, and dust2. Yes, I'm calling you out [Razz] Much fun can be had learning new maps, and a new respect given to some players that know them or can adapt well.

the problem with cs_ maps is, hostages. there are too many people that either don't know what to do with them, or end up killing them out of boredom. both of those are bad.

not to mention there isnt a single cs_ map in CAL. not that this matters to 90% of our pubbers, but i think if there aren't ANY in CAL, maybe there's a reason for that...
