Patch 1.6 for CoD4 just came out, and it has four new maps!
Broadcast is from the singleplayer level where you're in the TV room, so it's got all these computer monitors and counters to hide behind, and a lobby with big glass windows. Makes me feel kinda claustrophobic, or like I'm in Portal. Haha.
Killhouse is the new Shipment. It's this tiny, tiny, tiny map with walls and bunkers, and it feels like you're playing paintball.
Creek is ENORMOUS. It's beautiful: it's got a waterfall, and foliage to hide in, an old tractor for flavor...
And my favorite: Chinatown!!! It's set in San Francisco! You look up and see the moon and the Transamerica building and everything. It's even got the gate with lions! What a gorgeous map. It's small-medium with lots of buildings. The only complaint I have about it is that some of the chinese characters are mirror-imaged and/or don't mean anything. You'd think that if they spent the effort to put in this awesome rendition of the SF skyline, and strings of pretty red lanterns, and round gates, they'd at least make sure they didn't get their characters backwards. Haha.
