We're going to have a Computer Clearance sale at EU in the next couple weeks to make room for new computers coming in. The computers are tenatively priced at $595, which I think is a pretty good deal. We wanted to price them to move. These are the same boxes you play on in the store right now.
Here are the stats:

Operating system: Windows XP Professional Service pack 2 installed
Software Installed: Half Life, Counterstrike, UT 2003, a bunch of half life mods Open Office 1.1.3 if requested.
$595 plus tax, 30 day return or exchange (our option). The price may change depending on demand and what we feel like.

Ah, yeah. Open Office is shareware produced by Sun Microsystems. Not what i'm used to but one can buy Office online for like $180. What i want to make sure is that everything is liscenced and that i'll get the liscences when i buy the computer.

Everything is liscenced and registered I believe, and I'm fairly sure you'll get the disks for them. However you'll probly want to talk to Eddie in person just to totally clear it up.

So the new ones are 3.2 Ghz, 1gig Ram, Nvdia 6600 GT cards... Eddie said he was getting 60 fps while playing Doom 3. *drool*
Oh and just to clear up some things about the computer we're selling. They'll be completely reformated, so you wont be getting everything thats on there right now. The only two games installed will be CS 1.6, not source, and UT 2003. You will get the liscences for the games as well, and the disks for them. Eddie said he might put some other stuff on there as well, City of Heroes for example, but the general point is that it wont be the same a what we have now.

This is teh wasome. now i can play CoH at home and not waste my money at Eu. uh, i mean, Doh! but seriously, i'll still be supporting the store.
I do have a question about the sales tax. when Eu first bought the computers, did you guys use your business liscence so you didn't have to pay sales tax? Because, if you did pay slaes tax then why are we paying it too? Just wondering.

Don't forget, we still have a T1 line. And other people who you can sit next to and play with. There's still plenty of reasons to come.
I have no idea bout the sales tax. But let me put it to you this way. Even with the sales tax, where are you going to find a computer this good for that cheap?

We're selling 12 now, 12 more in about a month. We haven't actually sold any yet, seeing as how they're not boxed up an ready to move yet, but I believe we still have some left if you want one.

I suggest coming in and talking to Eddie or Tim about it. Not sure if we're allowing people to reserve one for two months, but talking to them would be the way to go.

- Monitors are not included. - Only Windows XP Pro, Steam (Half-Life, CS, etc.), UT2003, and the latest drivers and Windows updates are installed by default. - Optional "free" programs, such as OpenOffice, City of Heroes, Saga of Ryzom, etc. are available upon request. - The state of California mandates that we charge sales tax, so we have to charge it. - As of this posting there are still 6 computers left in the first wave, all boxed up and ready to go. 12 more computers will be available within about a month of the first wave selling out. - If you'd like to reserve a computer and are willing to place a down payment, talk to me (Eddie) or Tim.
