boy im kinda newby....

what does type 1 constructed format mean?

does that mean we can use any cards; including the banned ones?

Type 1, also known as Vintage, allows you to use almost every card in Magic. Because it is constructed, the deck should be a minimum of 60 cards. The only banned cards are ante cards like Jeweled Bird and manual dexterity cards like Chaos Orb. There are a lot of restricted cards which means that you can only have one of that card in your constructed deck. Examples of Restricted cards include all of the original Moxes, Ancestral Recall, Yawgmoth's Will, and Tolarian Academy. On October 20, 2005, Portal cards will be legal in Vintage.
